HN Reader — A Faster Hacker News Front End

Overview

Built a searchable Hacker News front end as one self-contained HTML file, with no build step, no dependencies, no account and no tracking.
Added the search box Hacker News does not have, with debounced results, scoping to stories, comments, Ask HN or Show HN, and sorting by relevance or date.
Added 24-hour, week, month and all-time windows, whole comment threads in a single request, and list and grid views.
Saved stories and followed authors live entirely in the browser.
Designed a calm editorial interface with light and dark themes, and published it on GitHub Pages under the MIT license.
