Privacy Policy

Lyffe ("the App") is a personal productivity and life-tracking application developed by Rokibul Hasan ("we", "us", or "our"). Lyffe helps you manage events, tasks, habits, journal entries, and personal finances in one place.

We respect your privacy. Your personal content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. This policy explains what limited data may be collected, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Lyffe stores the following data locally on your phone using on-device storage (SQLite and AsyncStorage):

• Events, countdowns, and reminders
• Tasks, lists, and subtasks
• Habits, streaks, and check-in history
• Journal entries, moods, and tags
• Financial accounts, transactions, budgets, and savings goals
• App preferences (theme, currency, week start, notification settings)
• App lock settings (enabled/disabled state)

This data remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it using your device's native share sheet. We do not operate user accounts and do not sync this content to cloud servers.

To improve app stability and understand feature usage, Lyffe may send limited, non-personal information to third-party services:

Analytics (Aptabase)

We use Aptabase to collect anonymous usage analytics, such as:

• Feature interactions (e.g. task created, habit checked in, screen viewed)
• Anonymous event properties (e.g. platform, feature category, amount ranges — not exact financial values)
• App lifecycle events (e.g. app opened)

Analytics data does not include the text content of your journal entries, task titles, financial account names, or other personal content you enter in the app.

Crash & Error Reporting (Sentry)

If the app encounters an error, we use Sentry to collect diagnostic information, such as:

• Anonymous user identifier (randomly generated, not linked to your identity)
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Crash logs and stack traces
• IP address (used by Sentry for abuse prevention)

Unsplash (Optional Photo Search)

When you search for background photos for events, your search query is sent to the Unsplash API. Unsplash may process this request according to their own privacy policy. We do not send your personal journal, financial, or task data to Unsplash.

Lyffe may request the following device permissions. You can deny any optional permission in your device settings.

• Notifications — to send reminders for tasks, habits, events, and budgets
• Photo Library / Camera — to set custom event backgrounds or attach receipt photos to transactions
• Biometrics / Face ID / Fingerprint — to unlock the app when App Lock is enabled; biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system and is never sent to us

• Provide and maintain app functionality
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
• Understand which features are used so we can improve Lyffe
• Send local notifications you have configured

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not display third-party advertisements
• We do not require account registration or collect your name or email through the app
• We do not upload your journal, financial records, or other personal content to our servers

Lyffe uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Aptabase — anonymous analytics
• Sentry — crash and error reporting
• Unsplash — optional photo search

Data stored on your device is retained until you delete it within the app or uninstall Lyffe. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.

Analytics and crash data retained by Aptabase and Sentry are subject to those services' retention policies. You may contact us to request assistance regarding data held by these providers.

Lyffe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of Lyffe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
