Privacy Policy

Lyffe ("the App") is a personal productivity and life-tracking application developed by Rokibul Hasan ("we", "us", or "our"). Lyffe helps you manage events, tasks, habits, journal entries, and personal finances in one place.

We respect your privacy. Your personal content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. Lyffe contains no analytics and no crash reporting: we collect no data about you or how you use the app. This policy explains what stays on your device, the few requests the app makes to outside services, and what choices you have.

Lyffe stores the following data locally on your phone using on-device storage (SQLite and AsyncStorage):

• Events, countdowns, and reminders
• Tasks, lists, and subtasks
• Habits, streaks, and check-in history
• Journal entries, moods, and tags
• Financial accounts, transactions, budgets, savings goals, and loans
• Invoices, clients, and your issuer details
• Receipt photos you attach to transactions
• App preferences (theme, currency, week start, notification settings)

This data remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it using your device's native share sheet. We do not operate user accounts and do not sync this content to cloud servers.

None. Lyffe contains no analytics service, no crash reporting service, and no advertising or tracking SDK of any kind. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and the app does not create an identifier for you.

Two features make network requests, neither of which sends us anything:

Unsplash (optional photo search)

If you search for a background photo for an event, your search term is sent to Unsplash so it can return matching images. This only happens while you are actively searching on that screen. Unsplash receives the search term and the network request itself, handled under their own privacy policy. Your journal, financial, task and habit data are never sent to Unsplash. Every other part of Lyffe works with no network connection.

App updates (Expo)

On launch, Lyffe checks Expo's update service to see whether a newer version of the app is available. This request carries only the technical details needed to answer that question, such as the platform and the app's build identifier. It contains none of your content.

Lyffe may request the following device permissions. You can deny any optional permission in your device settings.

• Notifications — to send reminders for tasks, habits, events, and budgets
• Photo Library / Camera — to set custom event backgrounds or attach receipt photos to transactions. Photos you choose stay on your device.

Because we do not receive your information, there is nothing for us to use. Everything you enter is used only by the app, on your device, to:

• Show your events, tasks, habits, journal entries, and finances back to you
• Calculate balances, budgets, streaks, and countdowns
• Schedule the local notifications you have configured
• Produce invoice PDFs and backup files that you choose to export

• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not collect crash reports or diagnostic data
• We do not assign you an identifier or track you across apps, sites, or devices
• We do not sell or share your personal information
• We do not display third-party advertisements
• We do not require account registration or collect your name or email through the app
• We do not upload your journal, financial records, or other personal content to any server

Lyffe contacts only these two services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Unsplash — optional event background photo search, only while you are searching
• Expo — app update checks on launch

Lyffe previously used Aptabase for analytics and Sentry for crash reporting. Both were removed before the 1.0 release, and neither is present in the app you install.

Data stored on your device is retained until you delete it within the app or uninstall Lyffe. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.

You can also erase everything from within the app at any time using the reset option in Settings, which clears the on-device database and cancels any scheduled notifications.

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Lyffe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of Lyffe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
